British summertime is known for intermittent blue skies, the odd rain shower, BBQs galore, Pimms and all kinds of amazing festivals. We’re spoilt for choice with what we can attend during the summer, whether they be music, culture, fashion festivals or a mixture of all three.
For the sake of this blog, I’m going to focus on music festivals, in particular, those that you’d usually camp or ‘glamp’ at.
Festivals are perhaps the most challenging environments to maintain personal hygiene, so, how does one combat this lack of cleanliness in record time, so that you don’t miss out on any of the fun?
1. Preparation is Key
When you’re going into a scenario where you know hygiene basically goes out the window, the best way to prepare is with a bloody good wash. Pamper yourself to the max ahead of your time in the dirt and prepare your skin for the madness ahead with a lovely relaxing charcoal face mask.
2. Wash Your Face Daily
Now, when you reach the venue and you’ve finally set up camp, don’t allow that to mean you lose complete sight of normality. Take five minutes every morning to splash your face with warm water and use our face wash to ensure you rid your skin of the impurities gathered from the night before. You’ll feel so much better for it as you ready yourself to go again.
3. Keep the lid intact with pomade for men
Greasy, unkempt hair is synonymous with festival goers, mainly due to people avoiding showers and shampoo. However, although lacking a good wash, most men still want to look good whilst on a jolly and one key area is the lid. By using a water-soluble pomade, your product is easy to wash out, so you don’t have to endure that heavy greasy feeling that acts as a reminder of how filthy you really are. A quick wash and a re-style and you’re pretty much there.
4. Sea Salt Spray for your piercings
This is a product that is usually utilised to add texture and volume to your hair, so you can rock that ‘just back from the beach’ look whenever you like.
However, when it comes to festival grooming, sea salt spray can be a lifesaver for any piercings you may have. If you have piercings, you’ll probably know the single best thing you can do for them is to keep up a regular regimen of salt water soaks. This washes them out and helps draw out discharge, stimulate blood circulation, and soothe irritations.
However, at a festival, you’re probably not going to have time to do that…sea salt spray Is your new best mate.
5. Ensure you’re always smelling fresh
I can tell you from experience, the smell that oozes off a festival goer is haunting – I once picked my brother up from a festival and oh heck, I still get terrors from the stench.
I made him vow to take cologne to every festival after that. Our Signature Cologne offers deep, subtle and long-lasting scents remain active and fragrant for the long haul, which is exactly what you need when attending a festival. Something that makes an impact and something that lasts. Box ticked.
